I am a photographer based in Silver Spring, MD. My love for photography started when I picked up an iPod Touch and discovered the Instagram app. I started snapping photos of anything and everything around me and eventually began to focus on portraits of my friends. Photography turned from something I do as a favor for them into something I saw myself doing for the rest of my life.
As a Public Relations major at Washington Adventist University, I’ve come to recognize the power that media of all genres has to shape and influence the minds of those who consume it. I believe I can create positive change in the lives of those who consume my work by always striving towards creating things that will resonate with people, whether they be auditory, visual, or verbal. In my work as a photographer, I hope to connect with my subjects one-on-one and translate some part of who they are to the images I create.
I currently work with WGTS 91.9 FM photographing concerts and community events, from locations such as the yard of a local church to Tysons Corner Plaza and EagleBank Arena. I also photograph for Snapdragon Brand, a unique line of crochet-inspired clothing based in Rochester, NY. And most recently, I have worked as a Photography Fellow with Behold. Her, a DC-based event series focused on uplifting and empowering women.
